Position Overview: As a Solar System Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, engineering, and implementation of solar energy systems for residential, commercial, and industrial clients. Leveraging your expertise in solar photovoltaic (PV) technology, electrical engineering, and project management, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solar solutions that exceed client expectations. From site assessment and system design to installation oversight and performance monitoring, you will be involved in every stage of the project lifecycle, ensuring seamless execution and optimal performance of solar energy systems.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct site assessments to evaluate solar potential, site suitability, and shading analysis.
• Design solar energy systems in accordance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client specifications.
• Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for permit applications and project approvals.
• Collaborate with sales, procurement, and construction teams to develop project proposals, cost estimates, and project schedules.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery of solar projects.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies to facilitate project execution and compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Conduct performance testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of solar energy systems to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency.
• Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams, external stakeholders, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is a plus.
• 3+ years of experience in solar energy system design, engineering, and project management.
• Proficiency in solar photovoltaic (PV) technology, system modeling software (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope), and AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, power electronics, and utility interconnection requirements.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
